The past weekend hurricane Irma hit Florida. Jefast’s hotel ”Pelican Grand Beach Resort” is located on the beach on the east coast north of Miami, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The hotel was in a mandatory evacuation zone and the hotel was evacuated last Thursday. Power outrage took place Sunday.
”Irma has passed through Fort Lauderdale this past weekend. The Executive team has as of today, Monday, returned to the property, says Cassandra Jertshagen CEO.
She continues: ”We were very lucky and were not directly hit with Irma. Our landscaping was effected and minor water intrusions from the heavy rain and gust winds took place. We have been informed that all of our team members made it through the hurricane safely.”
The hotel has all the necessary insurances and the insurance adjuster will be on property tomorrow Tuesday. It is expected to be able to accept reservations by the end of this week.
